Giveaway: Spring 2014 Candlewick Press Debuts

Today is a big day for Forever Literary. With the help of the lovely Raquel Stecher of Candlewick Press, I am finally overcoming my fear of giveaways and hosting my very first non-blog-tour-associated one.

I am so excited to offer one lucky reader an ARC of each of Candlewick Press's five spring 2014 debut novels. Here are the five titles I am giving away, complete with links that will take you to their Goodreads pages.
The Chance You Won't Return by Annie Cardi
Breakfast Served Anytime by Sarah Combs
Caminar by Skila Brown
There Will be Bears by Ryan Gebhart
The Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender by Leslye Walton
I hope gazing at these fantastic covers and reading the synopses on Goodreads has built your excitement for these books because you now have a chance to win an advanced copy of all five! But first, I have a few rules.

1. This giveaway is only open to residents of the United States and Canada. Sorrythis is the publisher's condition.
2. Don't cheat. (Obviously.)
3. I will announce the winner and email him or her within a few days of the giveaway's ending date. If you win and do not respond within 72 hours, I will have to pick someone else.
4. This giveaway runs until the end of the month, so be sure to get your entries in!

  1. Congrats on hosting your very own giveaway Emily! It is a little scary, I agree, but sometimes, it's a lot of fun as well :)

I would love to read The Chance You Won't Return and Breakfast Served Anytime. Both seem good, and a little different, too.

    Have a great day :)

    1. Thank you! It is scary, but I'm glad I stepped out of my comfort zone.

The Chance You Won't Return is on my TBR as well—I love stories about family, and this dynamic does promise to be different. Hopefully we'll both love it!

  2. This is a FANTASTIC giveaway! I've seen these books floating around on blogs and am so intrigued.

As for the comment question...uh...maybe Breakfast Served Anytime. They all sound wonderful though. The Chance You Won't Return has a haunting title and such a weird synopsis, but I'm so intrigued!

I agree about the title! Haunting is the perfect word to describe it, and it makes me want to read the book even more.

  4. I have only hosted one giveaway so far (with unsuccessful results), but you shouldn't worry! This is a great first giveaway!

It is so hard to choose just one book, but The Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender is on my TBR because the synopsis is really fascinating and that cover is so gorgeous.

I agree about the cover; I would hang it on my wall!

    2. For my first giveaway ever no one entered. I admit that maybe the giveaway shouldn't have been my first post ever, but it's too late to go back. I hope to host a giveaway later this month with a better turn out.

Now I REALLY want to start framing book covers on my walls.

  5. I want Ryan's! Who doesn't love bears? Mostly because I read a great article one time from him and have vowed to support him ever since.

    1. The bear aspect does sound cute. :) Great articles are one of the best promotional tools, at least for me, because they indicate that the author's book will be just as good.

  6. awwh why do you have a fear of giveaways? I love them! ;) All these books look amazing especially the last one - I really want that one but *sigh* I do not live in the US.
Good luck to everyone who enters though and thanks for the comment on my blog! :D

    1. I just have the typical will anyone enter what if no one enters no one will enter insecurities, but I'm overcoming them! Aw, that's one of the drawbacks to living outside the U.S. but I'm sure there are many plus sides as well. :)
