Recommend A... Wanderlust-Inspiring Book

Created by Shanyn of Chick Loves Lit and currently hosted by Vy of Vy's Blog, Recommend A... is a weekly meme in which bloggers recommend a book based on a specific prompt.
This week's prompt:
--------------------------------------------------------------
Recommend A...
Wanderlust-Inspiring Book
--------------------------------------------------------------

Vicks is the wild child whose boyfriend has gone suspiciously quiet since he left for college; Mel is the newcomer desperate to be liked; and Jesse will do anything to avoid a life-altering secret. Each one has her own reason for wanting to get the heck out of their nowheresville town, even just for the weekend. So they climb into Jesse's mom's "borrowed" station wagon and head south.

Hearts will be broken, friendships will be tested, and a ridiculously hot stranger could change the course of everything.
For today's prompt, I thought about picking a book that takes place in an enticing location that attracts visitors from all over the world. My mind immediately produced a list of European-based stories, but none of them felt quite right. When I thought of How to Be Bad, however, I knew I had found the perfect book. The book's setting and protagonists are not at all glamorous, but they are hysterically funny and realistic. I loved watching Vicks, Mel, and Jesse bond as they roadtrip across Florida, and they made me desperately want to embark on a similar adventure with my friends.

  7. When I read the title of your post, the first books that I thought of were classic adventure novels, but your choice sounds interesting. I've never read a book about a road trip.
